Our Agent Sam Says:
“Askew Grove is an attractive family home, having been built only 18 years ago but has been designed to look traditional on the outside. The area it sits in is quiet and I love the fact the peacocks are always wondering around! It is in close proximity to the wonderful Bulls Head and The Boot pub which are fantastic places to eat and drink. The property itself is spacious throughout, I especially like the kitchen diner which is a fantastic size and has a country kitchen feel! The lounge sits across the back of the home giving access through to the conservatory and overlooking the private garden. The downstairs benefits from a WC. To the first floor, bedroom one has been thoughtfully decorated and has the most cosy feel, this bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room and built in wardrobes. There are 2 further great sized bedrooms on this floor, one of which has fitted wardrobes. The family bathroom is a great size and has a shower over the bath. The bedroom on the top floor is probably my favourite room of the home, Its a fantastic double bedroom with velux window allowing in lots of natural light and again has been thoughtfully decorated making it a modern, comfortable space which is used as an office. Outside there is a lovely private garden and 2 allocated parking spaces. This really is a wonderful family home in a desirable area!”
Our sellers Thoughts:
“We’ve had a wonderful time living at Askew Grove and will be very sad to be leaving both the house and Repton. We are only moving due to a work opportunity, otherwise this would be a fantastic place to continue living and raise a family. The village is lovely and so friendly. There’s a real community feel with everyone saying hello as they pass and you’ll even have the family of peacocks strutting around which always brightens our days! Our road is really quiet and peaceful with the only sounds being church bells and the local riding group taking their horses out at weekends. There’s some wonderful and busy pubs 5 minutes walk away. We especially recommend The Boot which is great for a cosy pint or a full 3 course meal. There’s also a spar in the village which has all the essentials and co-op is a 5 minute drive aware in nearby Willington. There are tons of fantastic country walks all accessible from the house and you’ve got Foremark Reservoir and Calke Abbey on your doorstep. Derby, Burton and Nottingham are all really easy to get to by car and there are frequent busses from the village centre. There’s also a train station at Willington with trains to Nottingham. We hope you enjoy Askew Grove and Repton as much as we have over the past few years!”
The Area:
The beautiful and traditional village of Repton is great for the whole family. There is a primary school, which feeds through to John Port Academy in neighbouring Etwall, as well as Repton Private School. Within Repton, there are plenty amenities with a Post Office and several newsagents, a doctor’s surgery, the popular Bulls Head and The Boot restaurants and pubs, as well as other restaurants around the village and in the neighbouring village of Willington. Surrounded by fields, it is a short drive to Foremark Reservoir and Willington Marina which is great for walkers and dog owners alike! For travel, the bus runs through the village and goes to both Derby City Centre and Burton Town Centre and it is a short drive to the A38 and A50.
